A packed church enjoyed a vibrant Patronal Evensong, with the Choir delivering Brewer’s Evening Service in D and Gardiner’s Evening Hymn under the guidance of Steve Winwood and Dominic Hamilton. Congregational singing was enthusiastic, and Theo Mountford’s concluding organ voluntary by Karg-Elert was warmly received.

The grant enabled generous refreshments that kept the congregation and choir together in cheerful conversation long after the service ended. The evening also raised £1,000 towards a new infra-red heating chandelier for the chancel, supporting the church’s ongoing improvement plans.
