The Patronal Festival was greatly elevated by a visit from the choir of Taunton Minster, directed by Miles Quick with John Bodiley at the organ. The bell ringers offered a warm welcome beforehand, and the church was filled with parishioners and visitors from farther afield. The choir’s first powerful crescendo set the tone for a moving and memorable service.

Afterwards, the celebration continued with Pimms and plentiful nibbles, giving people the chance to meet and talk in a relaxed atmosphere. The collection was exceptionally strong, providing a sound basis for repeating the festival in future years. The grant contributed significantly to the success of the occasion, and the parish offers sincere thanks for the support.
