Patronal Festival Report - St Thomas-at-Cliffe, Lewes

St Thomas’ held its first Patronal celebration in several years, drawing a congregation of more than seventy. A one-off choir formed from across the benefice greatly enhanced the Sung Evensong and helped strengthen links between the churches. The service was followed by refreshments and a talk on the church’s history, both of which were warmly received.

The grant provided essential support, acknowledged in the service publicity, and contributed to the success of the event. Encouraged by the positive response, the parish now intends to mark the Patronal each year.
