The support received helped St Matthew’s offer generous refreshments after Evensong, strengthening parish fellowship during the Patronal Festival. The Choir opened the term with a full run of services and delivered a varied programme that included Schubert, Ives, Howells, Stopford, Brahms and Leighton.

Good attendance, successful joint singing with the Choir of Holy Cross, and the addition of two new choristers all contributed to a positive start to the season. Ongoing fundraising remains important, and the parish is grateful for the contribution towards the celebration.
