Holy Trinity held its Patronal Choral Evensong slightly later than planned, but the rescheduled service became a powerful catalyst for renewing the parish’s musical life. The choir of Hurst College sang music by Smith, Stanford and Stopford with warmth and poise, inspiring members of the parish choir and its newest junior choristers. Around one hundred people attended, and the atmosphere was one of reverence, beauty and genuine welcome.

Thanks to the grant, generous hospitality followed and helped foster new connections across the community. The service marked not an ending but a beginning: a springboard for expanding musical opportunities in the parish, especially for children, as plans develop for a new arts foundation. The parish expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support that helped reinvigorate Evensong and energise future music making.
