St Collen’s held its first Founder’s Day Patronal Festival, marked by a reflective Choral Evensong shaped by the Book of Common Prayer and supported by a dedicated choir and organist. The service, led by Father Lee Taylor, included bilingual readings and Stanford in B flat for the Magnificat and Nunc dimittis. Artwork by a young parishioner adorned the service booklet. The congregation of around forty-two responded warmly to the atmosphere of beauty and calm.

A reception in the Community Hall followed, with food and wine provided by volunteers. This offered valuable time for conversation and strengthened community bonds. The positive feedback from many who attended highlighted both the spiritual depth of the service and the warmth of the hospitality. The parish expressed sincere thanks for the grant that enabled such a dignified and engaging celebration.
