St Alban’s, Oxford
Patron saint: St Alban

Festival date: 6 July

St Alban’s celebrated its Patronal Festival with a greatly expanded congregation of seventy-four people, far above the usual attendance for this occasion. The service was warmly received, and refreshments afterwards provided a lively setting for the children and teenagers to perform a short drama telling the story of St Alban, which delighted the whole congregation.

The atmosphere was joyful and welcoming, with many commenting on the beauty of the liturgy and the value of seeing all ages participate. The success of the celebration has encouraged the parish to make it an annual tradition and to explore organising a parish group for the St Alban’s pilgrimage. The parish expressed sincere thanks for the support that made this well attended and memorable festival possible.
